Emphasize Volunteering on Your Website<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your organization\u2019s website does not provide clear, easy-to-access links to send potential volunteers <em>directly<\/em> to your list of volunteer opportunities, then you might be missing out on some interested volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No doubt your organization has an incredible mission and beautiful stories to tell. <em>However, those stories need to be supported with Calls-to-Action on your homepage, like\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A prominent \u201cVolunteer Now\u201d button<\/strong> that sends potential volunteers directly to your volunteer opportunity portal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Links in the homepage\u2019s<\/strong> header and footer to the volunteer opportunity portal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And you might want to consider\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A key feature article or content block on the homepage linking to the volunteer opportunity portal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct links to key volunteering initiatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct links to volunteer applications, orientation sessions, or other key first steps for volunteers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The bottom line is when you\u2019re recruiting volunteers, you need to make it easy for potential volunteers to find your volunteer opportunities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Link Social Media Posts &amp; Emails to your Volunteer Portal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wait, you\u2019re not using social media?! Just kidding!But seriously, it\u2019s incredibly important to maximize every social media post and volunteer-facing email. When you\u2019re recruiting volunteers, your website, social media, and email newsletters are your best venues to communicate \u2013 so take advantage!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social media posts should not only encourage people to volunteer (and preferably for <em>specific volunteer opportunities<\/em>), but they should also link directly to the volunteer opportunity portal. Add it as an option in your footer or separate but additional to your main Call-to-Action.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Tip<\/strong>: You can have multiple Call-to-Actions but they should never be next to each others, as that can confuse people from your primary message\/action\/goal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
